a welcome from our president

Dear Fellow Alumni,

Your Alumni Association celebrates 100 years of supporting and promoting Georgia Tech and her alumni in 2008. We're calling it A Century of Impact. And indeed, that is exactly what it has been. Generations of remarkable alumni have found purpose and support through the Tech community. They have gone on to become successful, conscientious citizens, taking leadership roles and having significant impacts on the world. The Georgia Tech Alumni Association has often played an invaluable role in supporting these alumni and as we embark on our second century we will remain true to our mission.

Please join us as we celebrate this milestone — A Century of Impact — and we will look ahead to the next 100 years. The Association's centennial celebration will last throughout the remainder of the year. It will include new and exciting programs such as the Buzz Around Town, Rappel for Roll Call and new weekly podcasts from alumni as well as new twists on some old favorites such as The Presidents Dinner, Pi Mile, and Homecoming. We've also published the book Ramblin' Wrecks From Georgia Tech including a bonus DVD that highlights the history and tradition of Georgia Tech, the Association and its alumni over the past 100 years. Please join us for an exciting year.

Sincerely,

Joe Irwin '80
